Ahead of EU Commissioner Hahn’s visit to Macedonia parties have presented different reactions and demands. SDSM’s Zaev expects that MPs will start working as the coordination meeting among political parties has been slated for Tuesday, which is the basis for resumption of the constitutive session. SDSM says that the programme of the new reform government guarantees the unitary character of Macedonia and the rule of law. However, Besa and the DPA Reform Movement say that this is not a joint government programme, but a mere statement of Zoran Zaev. DR-DPA says there are many joint elements, but the negotiations on the new government are to be launched as soon as Zaev gets the mandate. Still, the key issue is the coordination meeting and agreement on the composition of the Committee on Appointment and Election Issues. VMRO-DPMNE are decisive that the number of their members should by 6, one more than SDSM, while DUI expects to have 2, one more than Besa. Additionally, VMRO-DPMNE has issued three requests to Commissioner Hahn, namely to condemn the Albanian platform; unblock the EU integration processes; and respect of the principle for coalition to be made by the parties that emerged victorious in their blocs, the Macedonian and Albanian one.
