The migrant crisis is one of the biggest crises we have been faced with after WWII. The countries in the region along the Balkan migrant route need to cooperate in order to tackle it, in particular given worrying threats of a possible new surge of refugee wave, it was noted Wednesday at a diplomatic briefing about the activities of the Migration, Asylum, Refugees Regional Initiative (MARRI), held in Skopje. Commending what he called 'a successful' cooperation with MARRI and with the neighbouring countries, Interior Minister Agim Nuhiu said national institutions while dealing with the growing number of people transiting through Macedonia, had lived up to the task by securing a peaceful transit without violating the security of the citizens in Macedonia.
