Thursday’s continuation of the constitutive session proceeded with procedural remarks. VMRO-DPMNE expressed the stand that the right to discussion of MPs is constitutionally and parliamentary guaranteed and no one can revoke it, while SDSM called their actions and the avoidance to put to vote the item for selection of new Parliament Speaker usurpation of the post of Chairman. VMRO-DPMNE’s Ilija Dimovski called for ease of tensions, respect of the procedure and not revoking the right of any MP. “We should first complete this item and appoint members to the Committee on Election and Appointment Issues and then proceed to selection of PS,” said Dimovski. SDSM’s Radila Sekerinska called on VMRO-DPMNE to allow Macedonia to move forward. “Refusing to put a legitimate proposal to vote is usurpation of this post,” said Sekerinska, pointing at Chairman Trajko Veljanoski. Oliver Spasovski in the morning part of the session called for vote on their proposal for the parliament to proceed to the fourth item of the agenda – selection of Parliament Speaker with the support of 10 MPs. The parliament session is set to continue Monday at 11:00 a.m. (Dnevnik; Utrinski Vesnik; Vest; Kanal 5; Sitel; Alfa; MTV1; MIA; Makfax) |
