The traffic on allnational and regional roads in the country proceeds normally without restrictions and via dry and clean roadways.
As of 15 January 2008 the reconstruction of an additional traffic lane for slow vehicles commenced at Gradsko-Prilep roadway at two parts- from the 25th to the 30th and from the 43rd to the 48th kilometers of the section. The drivers are recommended to adjust the speed and erratic short traffic jams are expected.
At Mavrovo-Debar way roadwork is performed which could possibly obstruct the traffic in brief intervals in the course of the day. As of 1 March renovation of bridges at Demir Kapija-Gevgelija roadway is being performed. Vehicles are being let through in sporadic manner (in intervals from 7 to 8 minutes) in both lines for which an adequate signalization has been placed (provisional traffic light). The renovation will last until 31 December 2008.
The drivers are recommended to drive carefully and respect the placed traffic signalization.
Drivers should be especially attentive via ravines where landfall may be expected.
Intensity of traffic is moderate outside city areas.
No longer waiting is expected at border crossings.
