More than 50 % of the Macedonian citizens would vote against at a possible referendum on change of the name in order that Macedonia joins EU and NATO, indicate the results of a poll conducted by the Pavel Satev Institute. A total of 57.4 % of respondents said they would vote against, 30.7 % favour change of the name, while 11.9 % are undecided. The change of the name is supported by 73.70 % of the Albanians and 17 % of the Macedonians. Asked which party would be more successful in terms of managing the economic crisis, 29.2 % said a VMRO-DPMNE-led government, 14.5 %t said a SDSM-led cabinet, whereas over 56 % did not answer. A total of 36.8 % of respondents said VMRO-DPMNE would win if elections were held in the course of the autumn, 10.7 % responded SDSM would emerge victorious, followed by DUI (2.3 %) and DPA (1.5 %), while 43.6 % are undecided.
